How to see who unfollowed you on Instagram
Instagram does not provide a built-in list of people who unfollowed you. The safest dependable method is to compare your official follower data at two different points in time.
What you need
You need one Instagram data export from before the unfollow and another from afterward. Each export contains the followers visible at that moment. A username found in the first follower list but missing from the second is an unfollower.
Step-by-step
- Download your followers and following data as JSON and save the ZIP.
- Wait for the period you want to track, then request a new export using the same settings.
- Open Unfollower Snitch and select the older ZIP as “Before” and the newer ZIP as “After.”
- Run the analysis and review the Unfollowers result. You can download it as a CSV.
Can it reveal earlier unfollowers?
No. Neither Instagram’s export nor an honest comparison tool can reconstruct follower changes that happened before your first saved snapshot. Start keeping periodic exports if you want to track future changes.
Why avoid apps that request your password?
