Instagram following guide

How to find who doesn’t follow you back on Instagram

You can identify non-followers by comparing the following list in your official Instagram export with its followers list. If you follow a username that is absent from your followers, that account does not currently follow you back.

Use your official export

  1. Request your Instagram data and select Followers and following in JSON format.
  2. Open Unfollower Snitch. For a full change report, provide an older and a newer ZIP.
  3. Run the analysis and review “Do not follow you back.” Search the result or save it as a CSV.

Is a non-follower the same as an unfollower?

No. A non-follower may never have followed you. An unfollower appeared in an older follower snapshot but not in the newer one. That is why identifying actual unfollows requires two exports.

Does the tool unfollow accounts automatically?

No. The tool only reports differences in data you selected. It never signs into Instagram or performs actions on your account. Review the results yourself before deciding whether to change whom you follow.

Privacy

The analyzer runs in your browser. Your Instagram ZIP files, usernames, and comparison results are not sent to our server. You do not need to provide an Instagram password.
